My roles within the filimg and directing

Throughout the filming stage the group and I were all able to use our individual skills to create an extremely effective shoot.
At the beginning of the filming I was appointed cameraman and director, within this role I have to check a number of things:
 Focus
 Contrast
 Filter settings
 Position of camera
As we were on extremely uneven ground whether the tripod was flat
Where our actor was moving to

Once I had checked all of these different factors were correct we would begin to film, if the take was not as successful as I wanted I would give feed back to our actor on what was good and what was bad about the take. Once satisfied with the shot and the takes I would tell the actor and move onto the next scene.

Lighting, as a huge proportion of our film was filmed our side most of our lighting was natural and the need for artificial light which I am personally grateful for as the effect that artificial light produces is never as smooth or as affective as natural light.
However, there is a small part of the video where we are in the ‘den’, during the stage of the filming I took control and manipulated the natural light we had in the room to create the required levels by blocking same shadows out and letting more light in where needed, after then discussing the light with the current cameraman started shooting.
